The WMHG 2004 success and the mountain appeal pushed the WMHG to make a new stop in the mythic Bavarian resort of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

20 years after a first stop in Tuscany’s lands, the WMHG lived a new hydrotherapeutic cure in Montecatini, a little thermal town located in the centre of Italia.

Since their creation in 1978, the Games had never visited Spain. For their 26th edition, they decided to hang their hat up for a week in Alicante, in the southeast of Spain.
